Bio

The sounds and styles of music that influence this up coming artist originate from the very day she was born. Lida (or Lidita, as her friends and family call her) was born in the port city of Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz Mexico on August 25, 1971. As daughter to an accomplished family of musicians and at a very early age she was exposed to the likes of Santana and Deodato to Chicago and The Beatles. At 13 Lida began studying classical piano at the conservatory of music in Xalapa, Veracruz Mexico. It was during her formal studies there that she encountered other students with similar aspirations as her. It was with these very students that together they formed the powerhouse rock band known to all as Parametros. Their local popularity grew state wide and they soon found themselves touring as a headlining house band. During the band's peak they were offered contracts by, and spent an entire year touring the famous Hard Rock Cafe franchise of Mexico. May 23rd, 1992 was the date that Lida came to meet her true love while performing that night in Puerto Vallarta. Already dreaming of bigger and better things in her world, Lida soon after left the band in pursuit of happiness, living a new life in Canada. After years on hiatus from the music scene, she sat down in front of the ivory keys once again and began the long journey of composing and producing her first album, entitled: Boulevard Del Amor. With an eclectic vision , Lida has created a sound that takes you away from the moment you press play to a new world of funked out house and latin jazz. Tap your feet or shake your rump - it's your choice - her infectious groove sweeps you up and yes, it will make you want to move.
